Marguerite M. Fisher

Marguerite M. Fisher, 89, of Storrs, widow of Norman Fisher, died Wednesday February 12, 2003 in Brooklyn, CT. She was born August 11, 1913 in Camden, NJ, the daughter of Charles "Frenchy" and Melanie (O'Neil) Schaeffer and spent most of her life in New Jersey before moving to Connecticut over 20 years ago. While in New Jersey she was employed for many years as an advertisement proofreader for Curtis Publishing and A. W. Ayers. She was a charitable woman who supported many worthwhile organizations throughout the country. She is the last of her immediate family and is survived by a godson, Dennis Nord of Coventry. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Rte. (195) Willimantic. Burial will follow in the Storrs Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pierce Memorial Baptist Home, P. O. Box 326, Brooklyn, CT 06234.
