Marguerite Anderson

Marguerite M. Anderson, age 84, a longtime Windham resident, died December 2, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond O. Anderson . They were married for fifty years. Marguerite lead a hard working productive life, starting with the Electric Motive Company at age 16 and rising to a supervisor until the company closed, thereafter the American Thread Company and finally she was employed at the Town Hall as a tax collector until retirement. Family was very important to Marguerite who is survived by her two sisters, Angeline Sawyer of Willimantic, CT and Theresa Blackburn of Florida and her brother Thomas McClure of Windham. She is also survived by her three children, Carol Housel Pollis of Philadelphia, PA, Richard Anderson of Willimantic, CT and Linda Roy Anderson of Killingworth, CT. Marguerite had five grandchildren, Kirsten and Maile Housel, James Anderson, Stacey and Craig Roy, along with two great grandchildren, Josephine Marguerite and Nicholas Vincent Roy. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday Dec. 6, 2012 between 6:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic.
