Margaret M. (Warhall) Curtis

September 28, 1934 — October 9, 2016

Margaret M. (Warhall) Curtis, 82, of Bolton, CT, passed away at home October 9, 2016, surrounded by her family. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Burke) Warhall, both of Fall River, MA. She was preceded in death by her wonderful husband of 48 years, the late James F. Curtis of Windham Center, CT. Margaret was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy of Fall River, MA. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church of Willimantic, CT, and was a resident of Windham Center, CT for 33 years until moving to Bolton to be closer to her daughters. Margaret was a dedicated wife and an involved mother and grandmother. Margaret and Jim enjoyed spending their retirement, holidays and vacations at the beach with their children and grandchildren. Margaret also enjoyed for many years her weekly Bridge group. Margaret, Jim (Assistant Plant Manager/American Thread Company) and family also enjoyed their time making many friends while living in the American Thread Village in Sevier NC prior to moving back to CT in 1972. She is survived by her four daughters; Mary Beth Curtis of Bolton, CT; Sheila Bugnacki of Manchester, CT; Maggie Zurita of Stratford, CT and Anne Hanna of Bolton, CT. She also leaves her two sons; James F. Curtis, Jr. of Lisbon, CT and Jeffrey P. Curtis of Wilmington, MA. She is also survived by her brother the Honorable Lawrence F. Warhall of Londonderry, NH. Margaret also leaves nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express its gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Audrey Hewitt for the loving care she provided Margaret over the previous 18 months.
