Margaret Anne Quirk

Margaret Anne Quirk, 88, of Ashford, passed on to her creator peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2011. Marge was born October 27, 1922 in Jersey City, NJ, the eldest daughter of August and Josephine Abby. She was predeceased by her loving husband, William D. Quirk, her loving daughter Ann, sisters Dorothy and Gertrude and grandson Kenny. Margaret is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Lorna of Ashford, CT, Peter and Darlene of Manchester, CT, Kenneth and Donna of Florida and her daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Edmund Tucker and Janet and John Glasser of North Carolina. Marge will be sadly missed by her ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Mom was a real Jersey Girl and tolerated the country life to please her husband Bill. In these latter years she enjoyed her trips with Lorna to the casino to play the slots. NaNa will be sadly missed but fondly remembered. Her family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday, June 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday Jun 30th at 9:00 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 64 Pompey Hollow Rd., (Rte. 44) Ashford. Burial will follow in Madonna Cemetery, Ft. Lee, NJ.
