Margaret Donahue Obituary
Margaret M. Donahue, 94, of Willimantic, CT passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in the home she lived in most of her life. She lost her long fought battle with dementia. She was the daughter of the late Patrick Donahue and Mary Bertha (Moriarty) Donahue.

In her younger years Margaret participated in the Fairview Players an acting company of that time period. Later in life she participated in the St. Joseph's Church Bell Choir. Margaret was a great fan of both the men's and women's UCONN basketball teams. While also enjoying short trips on her Sunday Drives as she called them with her late friend Marie Anthony. Margaret also loved to knit and crochet and made many things for those in her family.

Margaret leaves two daughters, Nancy Lombardo of Willimantic, CT and Claire Lombardo of Mansfield, CT. She also leaves two nephews Jaimie Donahue and Kevin Donahue. She was predeceased by her brother Daniel Donahue and his wife Constance Donahue. She also was predeceased by her nephew Jeffrey Donahue.

There will be a short calling hour on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Potter Funeral Home, 456  Jackson St. Her Funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.

The family would like to thank Jamilka Vaquero-Perez for the last four years of Margaret's life. I do not believe we could have kept Margaret at home if not for the tender and loving care Jamilka provided.
