Macye Lee Smith

Macye L. Smith, 77, of Willimantic, died Wednesday April 14, 2004 at the Windham Hospital. She was born April 26, 1926 in Okolona, MS, the daughter of the late John and Darlene (Sample) Smith, had lived in Willimantic for the past 15 years and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by 6 children, Joann Calhoun of Okolona, MS, Perry Smith of Lithonia, GA, Patricia Pelatti, Paul Smith and John Smith, all of Willimantic and Ricky Smith of Hartford, 3 sisters, Carrie Smith and Reble Spurlock of Willimantic, Maudene Jones of Yazoo City, MS, a brother, Walter Smith of Okolona, MS, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren including 2 grandchildren she raised, Jasmine Smith of Narragansett, RI, Stefanie Smith of Willimantic and a special niece, Shirley Stoney and her husband David. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be Monday at 12:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 412 Valley Street, Willimantic. Her family will receive friends at the church 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the New Willimantic Cemetery.
