Mabel M. Young

Mabel M. Young, 104, formerly of Scotland, wife of the late Oliver Young, died Thursday Aug. 26, 2010 at Regency Heights in Willimantic. She was born June 13, 1906 in Ledyard, the daughter of Allen and Rose (Rivers) Main. Mabel love to cook which lead to her employment at Windham Hospital as a cook until her retirement. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Robinson of Scotland and Betty Morin and her husband Amos of Willimantic; three sons, Donald and his wife Jeanne of Willimantic, Louis and his wife Beverly of Chaplin and Gerald of Windham; two sisters, Martha Perrone and Katherine Elton both of Fitchville , many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday Aug. 30th at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic between 12:00 and 1:00pm with a service beginning at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in Windham Center Cemetery. Memorial donations in Mabel's name are suggested to First Congregational Church, 199 Valley St. Willimantic, Ct. 06226.
