Mabel E. (Mott) Yeaw, 87, of Enfield, widow of Robert Yeaw Sr., died Tuesday Sept. 27, 2005 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford. She was born Jan. 13, 1918 in Mansfield the daughter of Arthur and Florence (Johnson) Mott. She and her late husband spent over 40 years growing shade tobacco in the Connecticut River valley. Mabel was a lifetime member of the Grange. She is survived by 4 sons, Robert Yeaw Jr. and his wife Henrietta of Enfield, Gary Yeaw and his wife Frances of Portland, Douglas Yeaw of Ware, MA. and Lawrence Yeaw of Broadbrook; 2 daughters, Sandra Rivera and her partner Paul Skidgel of Scotland and Barbara Maltese and her husband Kenneth of Enfield; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 12 siblings. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Friday between 6:00 and 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00am at the funeral home with interment following in New Willimantic Cemetery. Mom, you've earned your wings, fly to heaven.
