Mabel E Lacount

Mabel Adams Lacount, 99, of Storrs, died peacefully on Monday February 4, 2002 at Victorian Heights in Manchester. She was born August 5, 1902 in Easthampton, MA, the daughter of Charles and Maude (Johnson) Adams. She enjoyed a variety of artistic pursuits throughout her life especially painting and needlework. She is survived by a daughter, Norma Warren and her husband Donald of Storrs, a grandson, Donald Warren Jr. of Ashford, 2 granddaughters, Joanne Bowen and her husband Robert of Storrs, Joyce St. Lawrence and her husband Arthur, 2 great grandsons, Scott and Joshua St. Lawrence, all of Chaplin. She also leaves a sister, Alice Brooks of Marietta, GA, a sister-in-law, Dee Landry of Port St. Lucie, FL, a goddaughter, Eunice Johnson of Easthampton, MA, a godson, James Brooks of Northhampton, MA, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, George and Charles Adams, 2 sisters, Mildred Adams and Claire Carroll and a special cousin Stella Jacobson. Mabel received excellent care at Victorian Heights for the past nine years. Funeral services are private with burial in the New Lebanon Cemetery.
