Lucille Tomlinson

February 26, 1929 — April 9, 2002

Lucille (Gordon) Tomlinson, of Hebron, passed away Tuesday April 9, 2002 with her family by her side. She was born February 26, 1929 in Black Mountain, NC, daughter of the late Myrhha (Robertson) Gordon and James Turner Gordon and had been a resident of Wall Street in Hebron for over 40 years. She was raised in Union, NJ and graduated form Union High School in 1947. Mrs. Tomlinson then studied art at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Her two great interests in life were arts and crafts and animals. Her art works included paintings in oil and pastels. She was a self-taught artisan with leather and enjoyed sewing and working with other crafts as well. Mrs. Tomlinson spent many years breeding, raising and showing Arabian horses. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Frank R. Tomlinson, her loving daughter Nancy Lee Tomlinson of East Hartford, a brother and his wife, Earl and Katherine Bartlett of Black Mountain, NC. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and a sister, Howard Bartlett, Millard Bartlett and Mary (Bartlett) Brooks. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. Burial will follow in the New Hebron Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service.
