Lucille Nelson

Lucille (Wheaton) Nelson, 70, of Tuckie Rd., North Windham, widow of Donald A. Nelson Sr., died Tuesday Aug. 17, 2004 at the Windham Hospital. She was born Aug. 24, 1933 in Windham, the daughter of Leonard W. Wheaton and Nellie (Larrow) Wheaton. She had been employed by the American Thread Co. and the Electro-Motive Manufacturing Co. Lucille was a member of the Christian Life Assembly and a former member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Willimantic. She enjoyed assisting in the operation of George's Garden on Tuckie Rd. She is survived by a son, Donald Nelson Jr. of New Britain, a daughter and son in law, Debbie and Arlo W. Butler of N. Windham, a granddaughter, Rebekah Butler of N. Windham and a grandson, Arlo P. Butler. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30pm with the funeral service to begin at 1:30. The Rev. Dwayne Harper will officiate. Burial will follow in the North Windham Cemetery.
