Loyal Donald Clark, 93, of Storrs, husband of the late Sabra (Foster) Clark, died Saturday Nov. 5, 2005 at home. He was born Jan. 7, 1912 in Brooklyn, N.Y. the son of Loyal B. and Ada (Coates) Clark. He was a 1931 graduate of Phillips Academy-Andover and graduated from Yale in 1935. Mr. Clark received his MBA from Columbia University in 1939. He was retired from Conde Nast Publications in New York City. He resided in Stamford and Darien before moving to Storrs in 1979 and continued to retain his parent s home in Cornwall. As a violinist, he was a member of the Willimantic Community Orchestra. Mr. Clark was a gentle man who was dearly loved by his family. He is survived by a son and daughter in law, David and Ann Clark of North Haven, a daughter and son in law Susan and Paul Schur of Willington, 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth Raccio and her husband Paul of Wallingford, Melissa O Connor and her husband Timothy of Madison, Alison Clark of Hamden, Gretchen Leming and her husband Scott of Mystic, Stephen Schur of Lakewood, Ohio and Karen Schur of Boston and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Albert M. Clark and Maurice C. Clark. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00am at the United Church of Christ, Cornwall, 8 Bolton Hill Rd., Cornwall, CT. with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Ferguson, pastor of Storrs Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Cornwall Cemetery, Cornwall. There are no calling hours.
