Louise W. Tetreault, 85, of Columbia, died Monday Nov. 20, 2006 at Douglas Manor in Windham after a long illness. Her husband Leon C. Tetreault Sr. died unexpectedly on Monday Nov. 20, 2006 in Windham. Louise was born April 18, 1921 in Rhode Island and moved to Columbia in 1946. She drove a school bus in Columbia for many years and retired from A&P in Willimantic after working there as a cashier for a number of years. She was a loving wife and mother. Leon was born Jan. 26, 1926 in Columbia. He was a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Leon was employed by Gilman Brothers Co. for 30 years prior to his retirement. He and his father had owned and operated Fred O. Tatro & Son Bus Co. in Columbia . Leon also worked at American Screw Co. and at Eastern Conn. State College. He was a devoted husband and loving father. Leon and Louise are survived by their two sons, Dennis A. Tetreault and his partner Bonnie Morrissey of N. Windham and Leon C. Tetreault and his wife Joan of Columbia; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Tetreault of Columbia, Suzanne Tetreault of Windham Center and Timothy Tetreault of MS. and 2 great grandchildren. They were predeceased by a grandson Christopher Tetreault. Funeral services for Leon and Louise will be private with no calling hours. Interment will be in West St. Cemetery, Columbia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Recreation Fund of Douglas Manor, 103 North Rd. , Windham, CT. 06280.
