Louise Schors

Louise (Helmer) Schors, 93, of Andover, CT, wife of the late Harry Schors, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 11, 2010, at St Joseph Living Center in Windham., CT. Louise was born April 16, 1916, to Anna Mae and Allan Howard Helmer of Suffield CT. At a young age, she moved to Andover, CT where she grew up and became a hairdresser in 1935, and practiced for 16 years. She married Russell Weigold in 1938 and they had four daughters: Sandra Levesque, Beatrice Ann Cartier, Carol Stannard and Cheryl Tollmann. She later married Harry Schors of Andover, CT, who had six children: Susan, Tom, Harry (deceased), Denis, Gregory and Ellen Mae (deceased) Schors. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, William Helmer, and her twin sister, Lois LaFlamme. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating Louise's life will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday February 16, 2010, at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, CT.
