Louis Cyrille Gagne Jr.

Louis Cyrille Gagne, Jr., 76, of Ashford, husband of Alice ?Cookie? Carberry, died Friday May 19, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born March 6, 1941, the son of the late Louis and Marion (Forbes) Gagne Sr. Louis was employed by the State of Connecticut DOT for 31 years before he retired. Louis spent most of his life helping and giving to others. He was a lifelong member of AVFD, ECSC and a member of the Italian American Friendship Club. He also volunteered at the Hole in the Wall Gang and enjoyed hunting and fishing. The family would like to extend a special thank you to staff at Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, especially Talisha, Roxanne, Heather and Jenna, for their care and compassion. In addition to his wife Alice of 32 years, he is survived by three sons Charlie Gagne and his wife Kim, Christopher Gagne and his wife Joleen and Michael Carberry and his companion Brenda Hovanik; a daughter Michelle Long and her husband Michael; two brothers Harold Gagne and his wife Brenda and Joseph Gagne and his wife Linda; three sisters Georgianna Gagne and her companion Pam Chase, Rhoda Averna and her husband Tory and Marion Kerr and her husband Davis; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Louis?s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday May 25, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Ashford Volunteer Fire Dept., 46 Westford Rd. Ashford, CT.
