Louis Brochu, 101, of Chaplin, husband of Rose (Breton) Brochu, died Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. He was born August 27, 1903 in Canada the son of Nere and Marie Brochu. He lived for many years in Willimantic where he owned and operated Louie Brochu Autobody. Following his retirement he and his wife enjoyed 40 years in Miami and Key West, Florida, returning to Chaplin last year. In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 children, Ronald Brochu and Doris Garrison, both of Chaplin, 4 grandchildren, Douglas Brochu, Judith Tumel, Bruce Garrison and Roy Garrison, 5 great grandchildren, Aaron Tumel, Karie Johns, Brett Garrison, Greg Garrison and Sarah Garrison, 2 great, great grandchildren, Jordon Johns and Megan Johns. A private Funeral Mass was held with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. The Potter Funeral Home, Willimantic was in charge of arrangements. Please visit
