Loretta Elsie Josephs

Loretta E. Josephs, 82, of Windham, wife of the late Stanley P. Josephs, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005 in Windham. She was born March 28, 1923 in New Britain, the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Chamberlain) Russell and had lived in the Windham area most of her life. She was an active member and volunteer for the Salvation Army in New London and Norwich. She is survived by 8 children, Carole Bruno of Westerly, RI, Pat Mathieu of Norwich, Linda Gelinas of Plainfield, William Steiger Jr. of Lacey, WA, Gail Zeiba of Moosup, Deborah Josephs of Manchester, Kathryn Lundgren of Wauregan and Stanley Josephs Jr. of Westerly, RI,2 sisters-in-law, Irene Cichon and her husband Stanley of Willimantic and Mary Josephs of Willimantic, 24 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private with burial in the North Windham Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O.
