Lois L. (Lambert) Abt

Lois L. Abt, 88, of Willimantic, passed away on December 1, 2016 after a long battle with heart disease. She was born on June 2, 1928 in Paterson NJ, the daughter of the late Joseph and Linda (Haast) Lambert. Lois is survived by a son, Robert Abt, of Tucson Arizona; a daughter, Linda Abt of Storrs Connecticut; three granddaughters and six great grandchildren. Lois was an avid reader and shared her love of reading with family and friends. She greeted her great grandchildren with a big smile and the gift of books which nurtured their love of reading. Lois cherished the hours she spent at her favorite bookstore chatting with fellow book lovers. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, to honor her love of reading, the family asks that donations can be made to the Willimantic Public Library, 905 Main Street, Willimantic, Connecticut 06226.
