Lois O. (Cone) Kneeland

Lois O. Kneeland, 83, of Willimantic, CT, daughter of Laura H. (Sypher) and Orrin Cone, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother passed away on June 30, 2016 at St. Joseph Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born April 30, 1933 in Willimantic, CT. She is predeceased by her husband Wayne Kneeland and her son Douglas. Lois was a warm and loving mother to her six children who she adored. She was also a best friend to her two surviving sisters. She leaves behind her sister Mary Cone of Willimantic, Viola Slater of Hampton, her daughter Darlene Stoll and her husband Jim of Pennsylvania, her daughter Cindy Merchant of Chaplin, her sons Wayne Jr. of Mansfield, Bruce of Hampton, and George. Also her favorite niece Brenda of Willimantic, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many more nieces and nephews. Lois also leaves her best friend Jackie Smith. The family would like to give a special thanks to her homemakers and Aids who took wonderful care of Lois during her illness. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
