Lisa Marie Cochran

Lisa Marie (Voorhees) Cochran, 56, of Preston, CT, formerly of Vineland, NJ, passed from this earth on September 28, 2014 to be with her heavenly father. Lisa fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. Lisa was born in Long Beach, CA on January 5, 1958. While living in NJ, Lisa worked in Atlantic City casinos. When she moved to Connecticut she went to work at Foxwoods Casino where she met her husband at a company picnic. She remained working there for 21 years. She married R. Vincent Cochran (Vinnie) on May 6, 1995. Lisa especially loved her cats, gardening, and enjoyed painting. Lisa was a beautiful human being and loved by her many family and friends. Besides her husband, she leaves behind her mother, Marietta (Maniscalco) Voorhees of Vineland, NJ, her father, Charles Voorhees, Jr., and 2 brothers; Charles Voorhees III and his wife Quan of Kailua Kona, HI and James Voorhees, of Vineland, NJ. She will be sadly missed by Janet and Autumn and many cousins, extended family and friends. Also grieving are her special furry animals, Stanley, Sophia, and Sammy. Family and friends may call at Potter's Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, Friday, October 3, 2014 6:00pm - 8:00pm, funeral to take place the following morning Saturday, October 4, 2014 at St. Joseph's Church, 10:00am.
