Liola B. (Cormier) Young, 90, formerly of Prospect St. Willimantic, widow of Henry Young, died Wednesday Nov. 10, 2004 at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham. She was born July 1, 1914 in Old Town , Maine the daughter of Ernest and Emelie (Fournier) Cormier. Liola had been employed by Rogers Corp. for over 20 years. She enjoyed bowling as well as watching the Boston Red Sox and UConn Women's Basketball. She is survived by 2 daughters and sons in law, Gloria and Bernie Lukehart and Shirley and James Hooper; 2 sons and daughters in law, Bruce and Donna Young and Gregory and Lisa Young; a daughter in law Cecelia Ellis, 16 grandchildren , 28 great grandchildren and a very dear friend Pauline Shanks. She was predeceased by 2 sons, Henry and Brian Young. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be private in the New Willimantic Cemetery.
