Linda Miller Obituary
Linda D. Miller, 64, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2023, at Backus Hospital after a long, courageous battle. She was born in Windham, CT, to William and Ruth (Walker) Miller. She is survived by her partner, Judy Jodoin, son Jeffrey Miller, daughter-in-law Jacquelyn and grandson Justin.
Linda grew up in Lebanon, CT, and attended Lyman Memorial High School. After high school she spent as much time outdoors as she could, playing softball, camping, fishing or just relaxing by a lake or river. She worked for various businesses in the community until she found her calling in the kitchen of Natchaug Hospital. It was no wonder why she was lovingly referred to as the “Den Mother” by her coworkers. Linda could prepare food in the hospital kitchen that was as savory and satisfying as a home-cooked meal. Although every meal was prepared with love, she was known for her irresistible cornbread.
Linda will be remembered for her love of animals, fondness for cooking shows and the meals she made for her family & friends. But what she enjoyed most was fishing with her grandson and watching him play baseball and football.
Linda is also survived by her siblings: Marcia Miller, of Jewett City, CT; Sandra Miller, of Jewett City, CT; William Miller, of Falmouth, MA; Charlie Miller, of Lebanon, CT; and Chad Miller, of East Yarmouth, MA.
Her family will be gathering to celebrate her life on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lebanon American Legion (567 Exeter Road). All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to C.A.T.S Northeast in her honor.
