She graduated from Watertown High School, in 1959. Three years later, having completed instruction and training at the Windham Regional Technical School, and hospital experience at the Windham Community Memorial Hospital, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1962.  She went on to work for Natchaug Hospital for 30 years, in various duties including medication distribution and working in the partial hospitalization program.

Linda’s second love was caring for and riding her horses. This love started with a single pony in the back yard to a full horse farm facility from their home in North Windham, Ct. She and her husband operated the farm for more than 45 years, winning local, state, and national horse championships, as well as two world titles.

She was also involved with Soroptimist International, a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. She was also the vice chairwoman of the local Soroptimist chapter, in Willimantic, CT.

Linda also developed an interest in nature photography, with a focus on plants and wildlife. She captured images from her various travels with her husband from all around the world. She was very proud of her collection of photographed celebrities she met along the way. Her photographs have been showcased in various local photo and art galleries.

Linda is deeply loved by so many.  Services will be held on Wednesday, January 8th, at the Mashantucket Pequot Spiritual Center, 938 Shewville Road, Ledyard, CT. Visitation is at 10am, and services to begin at 11am.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank Verona McCrae, for her incredible daily & loving care of Linda, in her final years of life. We also would like to thank our extended family and friends for their support during this very difficult time.
