Lillian Mary Kablik, "Aunt Mary", 92, of Lebanon, CT. passed away at home with family at her side on Friday February 25, 2011. She was born in Naugatuck, CT, and moved to the farm in Lebanon in 1946 with her husband Joseph P. Kablik, who predeceased her. She was the daughter of Paul Garthwait and Lillian Adkins Garthwait. Three brothers, Kenneth, William and Donald and their spouses and a sister, Ruth Garthwait Blay, predeceased her. She leaves behind John and Dawn Drum and Ronald and Barbara Drum, her caregivers, and their families; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and many friends. She retired from the Labor Department in the early 1990's as an office manager and arbitrator. She was an artist and avid horsewoman. She loved to drive the countryside everyday admiring trees and landscapes, marveling at bridges and engineering feats. She loved her camp in Maine and the friends she made in Maine, snowmobiling and having a good time. She loved her family and their friends, throwing parties at her home and at the pond on every holiday and special occasions for over 50 years. She was a strong woman and always had a smile on her face and always laughed. She will be greatly missed by many. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday March 1st between 6:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. The funeral service will be held at First Congregational Church of Lebanon, Lebanon Center, on Wednesday at 11:00am with Rev. Sharon Ledbetter officiating.
