Lila J. Hisey

Lila J. (Whyte) Hisey, 77, of Willington, died Wednesday June 7, 2006 at her home. She was born Feb. 20, 1929 in Hamburg, N.Y., the daughter of Stanley and Florence (Marcellus) Whyte. Lila was a graduate of Queens College, Canada. She had been employed for many years as a respiratory therapist at Windham Hospital and also in the same capacity in home health care for Medical Pharmacy of Willimantic. She was active in politics in Willington, serving on the Board of Finance. She is survived by 5 sons, Peter of Chicago, Robert of Willington, Charles of Danby, VT., Richard and his wife Linda of Carlisle, MA. and William and his wife Suzanne of Boca Raton, FL. She is also survived by a brother John Whyte and his wife Joan of Cornwall, Ontario, Canada and 8 grandchildren, Kathleen, Eric, Sara, William, Julia, Kevin, Erin and Christine. Her family will receive friends on Friday between 6:00 and 8:00pm at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic. A private graveside service will be held in Cornwall, Canada.
