Lewis M. Norris

Lewis M. Norris, 71, devoted husband to Valija Norris for over 37 years, died Wednesday September 21, 2005 at the Windham Hospital. He was also a good father to two sons, Fred Norris and his wife Allison, and Robert Nukis and his wife Darlene. He also leaves behind two grandsons, Justin Nukis and Josh Nukis as well as a granddaughter, Tess Norris. Survivors also include his sister, Roxanne Lannon, an aunt and uncle, Florence and Al Carini,an aunt Barbara Foley, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Lewis retired from Pratt & Whitnney Aircraft after well over 30 years of service. Lewis enjoyed working with his hands in his woodworking shop for hours on end creating things. Lew also enjoyed working to bring flower gardens to life and manicuring his lawn. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manchester. He will be missed by everyone who came in contact with him because he gave his all and expected nothing in return but a Thank You . Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic. Burial will follow in the South Cemetery, Hampton. His family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902-4301.
