Lester Erwin Beebe

Lester Erwin Beebe, 78, of Willimantic, formerly of Hartford, husband of the late Jeanne Beebe, died Saturday June 25, 2005 at his home. He was born October 22, 1926 in Hartford, the son of the late Stephen and Frances (Brannan) Beebe and had lived in Hartford before moving to Willimantic 4 years ago. Mr. Beebe was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by 5 daughters, Charlene LaGasse of North Windham, Donna Doubleday and her husband James of Windham, Susan Varbel and her husband Mark of Riverside, CA, Candace Harvey and her husband Dennis of Columbia and Leslie Erwin LeBel of Windham, a brother, Richard Beebe and his wife Joan of Enfield, 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by a brother, Clifford Beebe, a sister, Marion Hurlock, a grandchild, Kerri Bussiere and a son-in-law, Ronald LaGasse. A graveside service with military honors will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill. There are no calling hours.
