Leslie Myles Standish, age 75, passed from this life Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was a lifelong resident of Andover Connecticut and a direct descendant of the pilgrim Myles Standish. Myles was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He attended the University of Connecticut on the ROTC program. He worked at Cheney Brothers and the Manchester branch of the Rogers Corporation until retirement. Myles was both a fan and participant of off road racing and at one time was president of the New England Four Wheelers Off Road club. He also enjoyed antique tractors and tractor shows. Myles was predeceased by his wife of 46 years Margaret and leaves behind son Leslie J. Standish, daughter Mary Sherman and her husband Gary, son Edward Myles Standish and his wife Genevieve. He also leaves behind grandchildren, James, Michael, Jonathan, Jeremy, Bryan, Heather and Kate, as well as nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
