Leonel "Cricky" Vertefeuille

Leonel "Cricky" Vertefeuille, 79, of Willimantic Rd., N. Windham, died Sunday Nov. 3, 2002 at the Windham Hospital. He was born Dec. 20, 1922 in Willimantic the son of Daniel and Maida (Comtois) Vertefeuille. He was a World War 2 Army veteran and a Sixty Sixth Infantry Division Ranger. Mr. Vertefeuille was self employed for many years as a masonry contractor in the area. He was an honorary member of the Fin, Fur and Feather Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed watching boxing. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Agnes (Schlehofer) Vertefeuille, 2 sons and a daughter in law; Brian and Judy Vertefeuille of San Diego, CA. and Dennis Vertefeuille of Ashford, 2 daughters and a son in law; Sheila Krakowiecki of Willimantic and Lucy and Kenneth Pulk of Windham, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private with no calling hours. Please omit flowers. His family suggests memorial donations to the American Lung Assoc. 45 Ash St. , E. Hartford, Ct. 06108-3272.
