Leona Woodworth Obituary
Leona G. Woodworth, 93, of Willimantic, CT passed away on October 24, 2021. She was born in Windham, CT, daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Ogeba) Garmalinsky.
Leona enjoyed following along with politics and watching the Boston Red Sox. She worked as a maintenance lead at the University of Connecticut.
She is survived by her son, Richard Woodworth and his wife, Christina; grandchildren, Stacy Yust and Lindsey Niarhakos and her husband, Christopher; and three great grandchildren, Lily, Eleni, and Jack Niarhakos. Leona was predeceased by her husband, Arnold Woodworth, Jr; twin sister, Mildred Berry; sister, Jenny Fitzgibbons; and brothers Stanley Gormley and William Garmalinsky.
There will be no calling hours. Her family will have a graveside service on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Covenant Soup Kitchen. To sign an online guestbook please visit www.potterfuneralhome.com
