Leo E. Morris Sr

Leo E. Morris Sr., 86, of Willimantic, husband of Gloria (Mazzola) Morris, died Wednesday Dec. 24, 2008 at home. He was born Aug. 29, 1922 in Penacook, N.H. the son of Cyrus and Eva (Chase) Morris. Leo was a World War II Army veteran and had retired from Eastern CT. State University. He was a 50 year member of American Legion Post #19 and a life member of BPOE#1311. Leo was an avid golfer and played in the Willimantic Senior Golf League. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Leo Morris Jr. of Willimantic and several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Sunday between 2:00 and 4:00pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 12:00pm at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
