Leo remarried to Elizabeth (?Betty?) Boucher, whom had been widowed with the loss of her first husband after raising their own two children: Lillian Chidester and Richard (Percy) Boucher. During retirement, Leo and Betty were honored by the State of Connecticut for their volunteer service at the McSweeney Senior Center in Willimantic. After Betty's passing in 1998, Leo found companionship again and married Noreen, with whom he enjoyed his golden years, until her passing in 2015.
