Leila Eve Mair Heald, 33, of New York City, died suddenly on Monday, January 23, 2006. She was the beloved mother of Ayla Jayne Mair Heald, sister of Morgan Charles Mair Heald, cherished daughter of Marlene Heald and stepfather David Mastrangelo and granddaughter of Lee Zimmer. She is also survived by aunts and uncles, Gary and Karen Zimmer, Gail Zimmer and David Asman, Anthony and Robin Heald, Susan and Ralph Abruscado, cousins, Jesse Zimmer, Adam Zimmer, Noah Zimmer, Amy Aquino, Richard Aquino and Wendy Sandelena. She was predeceased by her father, Jeffrey Mair Heald, her grandmother, Bertha (Jayne) Zimmer, her grandmother Harriet Heald and her grandfather Brian Heald. She had been employed as a lighting technician. Her love of adventure, her clever wit, her incredible sense of humor, her artistic talent and her great beauty and magnetic personality will always be remembered by those who knew her and loved her. Her funeral service will be Friday, Feb.3, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte 195, Willimantic. Burial will follow in the Pink Cemetery, Mansfield. There are no calling hours.
