Lebbeus S. Case

Lebbeus S. Case, 91, beloved father and grandfather, died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Woodlake of Tolland. He was predeceased by his wife, of 51 years, Jean. Born in Worcester, MA, he graduated from Williston-Northhampton Academy and Worcester Polytechnical.Institute. He moved to Mansfield in 1965 and worked for the Brand Rex Corporation in Willimantic as an industrial engineer. He was an active member of the Storrs Congregational Church serving for many years on the Properties Committee and was on the Scout Committee of the Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid Red Sox fan and The University of Connecticut basketball teams. Until a year ago, he could be found on his red tractor mowing his fields. He is survived by a daughter, Susan, and her husband Peter Trani of Tolland, his son Lebbeus Jr. and his wife Claudia Case of San Carlos, CA and a son, William Case of Mansfield, two grandchildren, Madeleine and Philip.
