Laurie Lynn Judd (Bender) passed peacefully on March 19th 2015. She is survived by her mother Marylou DelMastro and her step father Robert DelMastro, her husband Daniel Judd and her children Kaitlyn Judd 24, Kyle Judd 18, Kiana Judd 15 and Kristopher Judd 11. As well as her sister Lisa Gould (Bender) and her brothers John Bender Jr. and Carl Bender all of Lebanon, CT. She is preceded in death by her father John Bender Sr of Lebanon, CT and her mother in law Betty-Jo Tuttle of Columbia, CT. Laurie is also remembered by her son in law Edward LaPointe, her mother in law Susan Bender, her father and mother in law Robert and June Judd, her brothers in law Steven Gould and Mark Judd and her sisters in law Jamie Bender and Anna Bender. As well as her only grandchild Addison LaPointe. She was born on March 5th, 1967 to Marylou and John Bender Sr and graduated from Windham High School, class of 1985. She married her husband Daniel Judd of 27 years on November 27th, 1987, three years before the birth of their first child. Laurie spent many years as a dedicated foster parent for the State of Connecticut and took into her home, over 50 children in need. She also found purpose in rescuing and rehabilitating stray and injured animals, a job which led her to care for squirrels, raccoons, dogs and various livestock that were brought to her. Her children remember her as a fiercely happy, intelligent and endlessly compassionate person who would stop at nothing to help others. Laurie found joy in landscaping and spent much of her free time developing her family's country property into beautiful gardens. She was an energetic, hard working and dedicated mother and she loved nothing more than her children and her small hometown. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Monday March 23rd, 2015 at the Lebanon Congregational Church. Burial will follow proceeding to the New Lebanon Cemetery in Lebanon, CT. In lieu of flowers there will be a donation box set up at the church for all proceeds to go to The CT Draft Horse Rescue, as Laurie was passionate for any and all animals in need.
