Kenneth Stephen Titchen

Kenneth Stephen Titchen, 57, of Chaplin, CT, died peacefully at Hartford Hospital on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 following a lengthy illness. Born April 19, 1951 in Willimantic, CT, he was the son of the late John and Marguerite (Callahan) Titchen. Ken attended public schools in eastern Connecticut, graduating from Tourtellotte Memorial High School in North Grosvenordale in 1969. He was employed by Numa Tool as a machinist for thirty years. Ken married Nancy Erickson on July 8, 1983 in Ashford, CT. Ken was active in nature conservation and was a member of Greenpeace and the Nature Conservancy. He enjoyed fly fishing and hunting. Ken is survived by his wife Nancy and their two children. He is also survived by two sisters. There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the Storrs Congregational Church, corner of Rte. 195 and North Eagleville Rd., Storrs on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Storrs Congregational Church Accessibility Fund, 2 North Eagleville Road, Storrs, CT 06268.
