Kenneth Harold James, 88, of Willimantic, died Sunday, September 17, 2006 in Windham. He was born May 26, 1918 in Willimantic, the son of Harold L. and Ruth (Paton) James. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was employed as a machinist at Hamilton Standard and the former American Thread Company. His most recent employment was with S.N.E.T. from which he retired. He leaves his wife of 65 years, Anita (Chaput) James, 2 daughters, Ruth Ann Archambault of South Windham, Phyllis Caliento and her husband Wayne of Willimantic, a son, Robert James and his wife Karin of Columbia, 2 grandsons, Thomas and Timothy Archambault, a granddaughter, Kelsey Caliento, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Gordon James of Mansfield, Carleton James of Willimantic and a son-in-law, Philip Archambault of South Windham. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in the New Willimantic Cemetery.
