Kenneth T. Adams, 85, of Windham Oaks condominiums, 366 Ash St., Willimantic, went home to be with the Lord on Friday December 19, 2008 at The Liberty Specialty Care Center in Colchester, Ct. He was born May 14, 1923 in Baltic, Ct., the son of the late Thomas and Annie Adams. He grew up in Baltic and at age 18 proudly enlisted in the United States Navy and served on the USS FOGG, DE-57 during World War II and received an Honorable Discharge. He worked as a machinist at the American Screw Co., Pratt & Whitney and Norton Pike Co., for over 40 years. He loved doing landscaping, gardening and wood crafts. He leaves his wife Ethel (Nacsin) Adams, after 65 years of marriage, four children, Wayne Adams and wife Debbie of Lebanon, Kay DeMarchi and husband Joe of South Windham, Linda Whitcomb and husband Lou of Rumney, N.H., Doreen Cheney and husband Rod of Lebanon; a brother Ronald Adams of Brooklyn, 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. He will be greatly missed and will always live in our hearts. There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held for the immediate family at The Potter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ethel Adams, 366 Ash St., Apt. #1, Willimantic, Ct., which will be given to The Liberty Specialty Care Center in Colchester, Ct., where he was given excellent care and friendship during the last year of his life.
