Kay A. Hemingway, 55, of North Windham, died Friday June 24, 2005 at the Windham Hospital. She was born Jan. 4, 1950 in Windham and was a lifelong resident. Kay was employed at the Windham Center School as the cook manager. She is survived by a son David Hemingway and his wife Charlene of Mansfield, a daughter Dawn Banker and her husband Scott of Windham, 4 brothers, Robert Lucey of N. Windham, Ronald Lucey of S. Windsor, Mark Lucey of Willimantic and Timothy Lucey of Hartford; 4 sisters, Janet Gendron and Patricia Hartley both of N. Windham, Pamela Schmelzer of Wisconsin and Paula Lucey of Willimantic; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Deeves, Michael Deeves Jr. and Joshua Hemingway; her former husband Victor Hemingway of Scotland and several nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Sunday between 2:00 and 4:00pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00am with the Rev. Joe Nollet officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
