Kathleen Theresa (Tardif) Santos of Willimantic passed away on Sunday April 18, 2004 at the St. Joseph Living Center after an extended illness. She was born on October 3, 1942, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the daughter of George Tardif and Cecilia (Daignault) Tardif. She is survived by her three children, Daniel Santos and his wife Laura of Danielson, Susan Shea and her husband Richard of Windham, David Santos and his wife Carrie of Pomfret. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Brunette and her husband Joseph of New Bedford, Massachusetts, twelve grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother and his wife, George and Barbara Tardif, her granddaughter, Elizabeth Shea, and nephew Brian Tardif. She worked at several occupations, retiring after 28 years of service at Brand-Rex as a cable dispatcher. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and an adorer at St. Joseph Living Center chapel. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8:15am prior to her 9:00am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Church, 99 Jackson St. Willimantic,Ct. 06226.
