Kathleen Theresa Butterick

February 18, 1916 — July 26, 2005

Kathleen Theresa (Byrnes) Butterick went to join her Heavenly Father on Tuesday July 26, 2005 at her home after a long illness. She was 89 years old and had lived in Willimantic since 1986. Born in New York City to John and Mary Anne Byrnes of Ireland she lived in Yonkers and the Bronx, NY. She retired as a clerk for the New York State Department of Housing and Finance having worked on the 59th floor of the World Trade Center. She was a member of the Willimantic Irish Club, the McSweeney Senior Center and the Jackson Street Seniors. Kathleen was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Willimantic. She is survived by her husband George W. Butterick, a son, Brian, of New York City, 2 daughters-in-law, Colette of Willimantic and Susan of Yonkers, NY, 3 grandsons, Jonathan of Brooklyn, NY, George Adam of Oregon and Aaron of Willimantic and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 2 sons, George F. and John R. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday prior to the procession to her Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church at 10:00 a.m. burial will follow in St. JosephCemetery.
