Katherine E. Tokarz

Katherine E. (Stula) Tokarz, 91, formerly of Manners Ave. Willimantic, widow of Walter P. Tokarz, died Monday Dec. 16, 2002 at Liberty Specialty Care in Colchester. She was born Dec. 13, 1911 in Jewett City the daughter of Alexander and Agnes Stula. She was retired from the American Thread Co. in Willimantic. Mrs. Tokarz enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and also enjoyed gardening. She is survived by two sons; Walter C. Tokarz of Columbia and Kazimierz "Charlie" Tokarz and his wife Pamela Howitt of Oakdale, a sister Veronica Nardi of CA., 4 grandchildren; Walter R. Tokarz of Columbia, Kathleen Tokarz of Tampa, FL., Jennifer Kampfer of New London and Jeffrey Tokarz of Middletown, and 3 great grandchildren; Carl Kampfer, Benjamin Kampfer and W. Riley Tokarz. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00pm. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00, with burial following in the New Willimantic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Assoc., Northern Ct. Chapter, 96 Oak St., Hartford, Ct. 06106.
