Karlis Ruments

Karlis Ruments, 92, of Mansfield , died Wednesday Nov. 27, 2002 at the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born Jan. 12, 1910 in Latvia and was a graduate of the Riga Conservatory of Music. He was an enthusiastic trumpet player, avid jogger and swimmer and was a UConn Women?s Basketball fan. Karlis was a member of the Latvian Lutheran Church in Willimantic. He is survived by his loving family; his wife Elza (Ravuska ) Ruments, his son Karlis Ruments Jr., his daughters; Regina Mildrum and Mara Ruments Wermuth, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00am at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic with the Rev. Biruta Puike officiating. Cremation will follow.
