Karin L. Kozin, age 56, passed peacefully away August 24, 2012. She leaves behind a niece Amanda DeVivo, a nephew Benjamin DeVivo, her brother-in-law Tom DeVivo, and aunt Reta Reynolds, uncles Baldon Pantoya and Phil Hiltz, many cousins, and a special friend Dale Verraneault. She was predeceased by her mother Peggy Kozin, sisters, Kathy DeVivo and Kandy Skully. Karin was a spirited soul who will be remembered for her love of patchouli oil and large flowing dresses. Nothing could bring her sprits down. She was always ready to go out and have a good time. She loved pork chops or steak for breakfast and could always "name that tune in one note." She loved animals and once had a dog, Otis Beauregard. Many Christmas mornings she visited the local dog pound and left treats and toys. She was a child of the 60's who lived a life of universal peace and love. She graduated Magna Cum Laude of Psychedelic State. All who came across her path left amazed at her complex understanding of life's mysteries. The family will hold a burial service at the new Willimantic Cemetery on Thursday, August 30, at 2:00 pm. Her family would like to thank the staff at Regency Health in Willimantic, for creating a family atmosphere where Karin always felt welcome. In lieu of donations please visit someone homebound or send them a card.
