June Cuny Obituary
Helen June Cuny, 89, of Storrs, CT passed away on September 11, 2022. She was born in Lyndhurst, NJ, the daughter of the late Francis A. and Stella “Estelle” R. (Rucinski) Hayes.
June was an animal lover, a reading enthusiast, and an avid 49ers football fan.
She is survived by her children Carole, Michael, and Gary and his wife Nataly; grandchildren Anthony and Michael; sister Betty Thomas; nieces Sharon and Susan; and nephews Richard, Billy, and David. She was predeceased by her sister Violet; brother Bobby; and brother-in-law Bert Thomas.
Her family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 9:30am until her funeral service at 10:30am at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Imagination Library, imaginationlibrary.com or to the Protectors of Animals, poainc.org.
