June Dorothy (Richards) Brown, 87, of Willimantic, widow of Peter Dyjak and Robert E. Brown, died Wednesday June 7, 2006 in Mansfield. She was born March 20, 1919 in Willimantic, the daughter of Glen and Laura Richards and had worked at the Sweeney School cafeteria. June loved cats, going to parades and to the mall, just to walk around and talk to people, whether she knew them or not. She is survived by 4 children, Barbara Kovarovics and her husband David of Ashford, Roberta Cobb and her husband Brent of Willimantic, Nancy Duprat of Coventry and Richard Dyjak of Willimantic, 6 grandchildren, Nathan, Zachary and Philip Cobb, Adam and Belinda Kovarovics and Cindy Dyjak, 3 brothers, Robert Richards and his wife Jean, Arthur Richards and his wife Marion and James Richards, all of Willimantic, a sister, Virginia Jodoin and her husband Albert of Florida, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 4 brothers, William, Paul, Norman and Peter. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Friday at 1:15 p.m. prior to the procession to her graveside service at 2:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham.
