Juliet T. Willet

Juliet Tryon Willet of Windham, widow of Donald W. Willet, died Tuesday June 3rd, 2003. She was born December 1st, 1914 in Willimantic, the daughter of Edward J. and Caroline (Loomis) Tryon. Juliet graduated from Windham High School and Bryant College School of Executive Secretarial Training in 1936. In the 30?s and 40?s she worked with her father at Tryon and Sons Real Estate. She later worked with her late husband in his business Donald W. Willet Plumbing and Heating. She was an active member and former Trustee of the First Congregational Church of Willimantic. She volunteered for the American Red Cross Blood Mobile for many years, was member of the Windham Historical Society, Willimantic Women?s Club, and a volunteer for Girl Scout Troop 1 in Willimantic. She is survived by her two daughters and their spouses, Barbara and Howard Korsu of Columbia and Susan and Robert Gage of Middletown, her grandson Adam Shaw of Columbia, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Grandon and Barbara Willet of Windsor Locks, 5 step-grandchildren, Jay, Erica and Karrie Korsu, Christine and Daniel Gage, 3 nephews Rick, Scott and Donald Willet. The funeral will be Saturday June 7th, 11 AM at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. Willimantic with the Rev. Richard Duvall officiating. Burial will follow at the New Willimantic cemetery on Rte. 32. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church, 199 Valley St, Willimantic, CT 06226.
