Juan A. Gonzalez

Juan Gonzalez, 62, of Willimantic, died Sunday Dec. 29, 2002 at St. Joseph Living Center after a long illness. He was born April 1, 1940 in Juncos, Puerto Rico. He resided in Hartford for 27 years and was employed as an iron worker for Local #15. Juan moved to Willimantic in 1994 and married his wife Luz Machabelo in 1995. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters Susan, Angela and Marie Gonzalez, a son Juan Jr., a brother and sister in Juncos, P.R., a sister in Boston, a brother in Hartford, 2 grandchildren, 4 step children and several nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 am prior to the procession to his 10:00am Funeral Mass at Iglesia Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, Club Rd., Windham. Burial will follow in the New Willimantic Cemetery.
