Joyce Ann Goddard

Joyce A. Goddard, 64, of Hampton, wife of John Goddard, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Hartford Hospital. She was born October 17, 1945 in Passaic, NJ, the daughter of the late Louis and Celeste (Ghiggeri) Frey and had lived in Hampton the past 33 years. Prior to her retirement she was employed for many years at UConn and was a big UConn Huskies fan. Joyce loved cats, going to the beach, swimming, skiing, dancing and just being outdoors. In addition to her husband of nearly 43 years she is survived by three children; Jennifer Colburn and her husband Jamie of Coventry, Allen Goddard of CA and Stephanie Lassen and her husband Brett of Manchester, 2 grandchildren; Evan and Sayde Colburn, a brother, Russell Frey and his wife Kjerstin of CA, two sisters; Audrey Frey of NJ and Nora Cloutier and her husband Charles of FL, her mother-in-law, Betty Goddard of Mansfield, a sister-in-law, Cathy Larson of East Granby, and a brother-in-law, Timothy Goddard and his wife Sue of NH, many nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Mitzi Frey of NJ. Her family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Cedar Swamp Rd. Hampton. Burial will follow in the Litchfield Cemetery, Hampton.
