Joshua Quick Beckwith, 20, of Ash Ave. Willimantic, died Monday Nov. 4, 2002 at the Hartford Hospital. He was born Sept. 27, 1982 in Willimantic the son of Sheila Beckwith of Willimantic and Gary A. Quick of Knoxville, TN. He was a member of the graduating Class of 2000 of the Windham Technical School, majoring in the culinary arts and was a member of the Chess Club, VICA, and the Wrestling Team for 2 years. Joshua was employed by Strober General Builders Supply of S. Windsor and was previously employed by Cash True Value Hardware in Willimantic. Joshua enjoyed video games, fast cars, Pokemon, chess, playing the saxophone, piano, cello and violin, volleyball, bowling , football, the Patriots, spending time with his family and friends and listening to music. In addition to his parents he is survived by his son Travis Hunting of Willimantic, his grandmothers; Mildred Burnore of Maryville, TN. and Georgianna Forest of Rindge, N.H., his grandfathers; Donald Beckwith of Skowhegan, ME., Francis Gemborys of Rindge, N.H. and Gerard Sinopoli of Willimantic, 2 sisters; Shawna Crepeau of Windham and Kimberly Quick of Knoxville, TN., 7 brothers; Charlie Quick, Christopher Quick, Jesse Quick, and David Tardy all of Willimantic, Steven Daniels of Mansfield, Gary Quick Jr. and Jason Quick of Lewiston, ME. and his girlfriend Meghan Daley of Willington, aunts and uncles; Sherry Fisher and Candis Quick of Knoxville, TN., Jonathan and Neena Beckwith of Franklin, Peter and Maureen Beckwith of W. Haven, Donna and Curtis Maynard of Griswold, Andrew LeDuc of Manchester, Brian and Karen Beckwith of New Haven and Harold Beckwith of Griswold. He was predeceased by his uncle Michael Beckwith in 1992. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte.195) Willimantic on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00pm. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church of Willimantic, 667 Main St. Willimantic. Burial will follow in the Plains Cemetery, Franklin. Please omit flowers.
